The Fine Print

The most important thing I want to convey is that neither I nor OAL will exploit you in any way. I will be the only person to see your contact and personal information. The book will not reveal your last name, location, or any other personal information beyond your first name and occupation, plus any information you volunteer for my use. Your name and image will only be used in conjunction with this project. While I may make a small number of copies (fewer than 20) of OAL available for purchase for the cost of materials, I will not use this bookwork or any of the people within it for the purpose of profit. If I was in this for the money, I wouldn't be in this.

There are a few details that have to be addressed for the safety of everyone involved.

• I can't accept images from people who are under 18. Adults only, please.
• I can only accept images and information directly from you. That means you can't email me your friend's picture - but hopefully he or she will contact me directly.
• No copyrighted images - you must have the right to distribute these photographs.
• Photographs should have only one person - you - in them. Animals are fine so long as they are not being abused.
• No depictions of illegal activity.

By sending me photographs, you attest that you are the person portrayed in the pictures, that you are 18 or older, that you are the rightful owner of the photographs and that they are available for reprint, and that you are authorizing me to use these images and your relevant information for my bookwork. You are also authorizing me to submit your images within the completed book to my professor for evaluation and possible inclusion in his private library and/or the Special Collections section of the Albertsons Library at Boise State University.

I reserve the right to digitally manipulate your images for artistic effect, including but not necessarily limited to: changing from color to B&W, blurring background, cropping, revision to lighting, and color correction. I will not edit the content of your image without your consent.

Please let me know if your photographs were taken by a third party. The photographer will be credited within the book if you provide his or her name.

Everyone knows the line about pornography - "I know it when I see it." I prefer to avoid making that call and will likely err on the side of caution when evaluating images that contain nudity. However, if you have a great picture that you believe includes tasteful nudity, I would be happy to consider it.

This is going to be a small bookwork, not a compendium. Not all images that I receive will necessarily be used in OAL. If I do include your images, you will be contacted via email with an offer for a copy of the completed bookwork. In order to receive your copy, you will have to give me a mailing address. This address will not be retained by myself, nor will it be distributed to any outside parties. It will be used for the purpose of sending you your copy and then permanently deleted from my inbox.
